The site sets no cookies, uses no analytics script and loads nothing from other companies. Its fonts and images come from this site.
Our host, Cloudflare, keeps short security logs of requests to the site, such as IP addresses and times.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to its use, restrict it, take a copy, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to hello@carly.life.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we use your data, tell us at hello@carly.life and we’ll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Age
The website’s sign-up, the beta and Carly are for people 18 or over.
The Carly app
This section will describe exactly what the app collects and why before Carly is submitted to the App Store.
- Your journal is encrypted on your iPhone, and you can lock it with Face ID.
- Ask Carly reads your journal only if you allow it. When you ask about your journal, the passages it needs go to Gemini, Google’s AI model, in the European Union. Once sent, they’re outside your journal’s encryption.
- Apple handles subscriptions and payments.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes, and if the change matters we’ll tell people on the list by email.
